Having had a negative telephone experience with reception at Lonsdale Road I arrived for a vaccinations appointment next morning feeling tense and anxious. This time the person on reception was helpful and supportive. Shortly after I was seen by Sadia, one of the Practice nurses. She couldn't have been more helpful. I was, able to get the vaccinations I needed for a forthcoming trip straight away. She was professional, knowledgeable and friendly and I left feeling greatly relieved and reassured.Posted on Google SARAH SterigTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GoodPosted on Google Henna GautamiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with Sadia. She did the travel vaccinations for me and my family and was very kind and helpful throughout. She explained everything clearly and gave the injections very gently. We really appreciated her care!Posted on Google B STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The staff at Lonsdale are always busy but still take time to listen and help. Hanna, the phlebotomist, is excellent—professional, gentle, and always puts you at ease. I’ve only had positive experiences here and feel lucky to be registered with this surgery.
Routine childhood vaccinations provide important protection against serious infectious diseases. Our nursing team provides the full NHS childhood immunisation programme and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Lonsdale Clinics has access to an in-house Children’s Health Hub, held approximately once a month.
The clinic is delivered jointly by a consultant paediatrician and one of our GPs, allowing children with more complex problems to receive specialist assessment without always needing a hospital outpatient appointment.
Clinics are held either at Lonsdale Clinics or another participating local practice.
Referral to the Children’s Health Hub is made by your GP following assessment.
Our GPs work closely with local paediatric teams and have direct access to consultant paediatricians through dedicated telephone advice lines and secure NHS email services.
This allows our GPs to obtain rapid specialist advice where appropriate, helping many children receive expert input without waiting for a routine outpatient appointment.
For children who require urgent specialist assessment but do not need to attend the Emergency Department (A&E), our GPs may also be able to arrange assessment at the Paediatric Day Assessment Unit, where clinically appropriate and in line with local hospital referral criteria.
These enhanced pathways allow many children to receive rapid specialist assessment without attending A&E. However, if either the GP triaging your request or the clinician assessing your child feels emergency care is required, they will arrange immediate referral to the Emergency Department.
If you are concerned about your child’s health, please submit an Online Book Medical Request.
All requests are first reviewed by one of our experienced GP triage doctors, who assess the information provided and determine the most appropriate next step based on your child’s symptoms.
Depending on your child’s needs, this may include:
If your child is seen in the practice, the assessing clinician will review them and, if necessary, may also arrange referral to specialist services or the Emergency Department.
Our aim is to ensure your child receives the right care, in the right place and at the right time.
Call 999 or attend your nearest Emergency Department immediately if your child has:
